We’ve got THREE (3) special edition vinyls and t-shirt prize packages to give away this Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2011 (See details below to enter).
We’re excited about this new release from Daniel Bashta. It’s an aggressive offering of praise and worship music that intentionally “gets out of the box” to reach people (inside and outside the church). In Daniel’s own words, “There’s not many of these John the Baptists anymore, causing a commotion, so as we go into The Sound let’s cause this commotion…”
Something that really resonates with me about Daniel’s approach to music and ministry is that he really appears to be interested in being outside the four walls of the church (and challenging the Church to be less walled in. He says, “If more of us were going into these desolate places and bringing hope with us…desolation would run.”
“The Sounds of Daniel Bashta is truly that, prophetic music that provokes you to worship and speaks life and hope into dark places,” says Jay King, Integrity’s Vice President of A&R/Artist Development.
Many people will already be familiar with his successful single, Like A Lion, covered on the Passion: Awakening album by The David Crowder Band, and the Newsboys for their upcoming album set to release in November, and also by Kristian Stanfill on Mountains Move. Sounds also features a duet of Bashta and Morant on the stand-out track Potter’s Wheel and features guest vocals by Mac Powell on the song Heaven and Kim Walker-Smith on Pursuit.
The music is fresh, modern, and edgy, but retains a sincere and reverent tone throughout, while bringing challenge and stirring passion. Fans of modern worship music will be drawn in immediately. And those who prefer a more traditional approach might be surprised.

QUESTION: What are some ways that you and your worship/music ministry are getting outside the normal “idea” of the four walls of the church? If you’ve not ventured out in that area, what are some ways that you could see you and your worship/music ministry getting outside of the normal “idea” of the four walls of the church?
