If you love that “old time” acoustic/folk/bluegrass sound, then you’ll love what the Brothers McClurg are doing these days. Check out this video of them singing On The Rock. It’s a wonderful song about being grounded on the “Rock that is Higher.”

This is a song that can be easily adapted into congregations that lean towards multi-generational worship set lists. It has a very traditional feel, but is fresh and new. It feels very familiar so older generations will connect well to it and younger generations will feel like they are plugging into a musical heritage. Great song!
We gave it a 7 and an 8 for adaptability and performance, because of it's raw and gritty feel, which is actually a plus! We love that it isn't over-produced. Bands going for a full rocked out, wall of sound, modern set might have a little trouble adapting it for a wide open set.
