  • Guitar Rig 4 Pro

Has anyone used this software either recording or live? Is it worth the effort? Worth the money?

Here's the link if anyone else desires to research it. Thanks!

I haven't used it, but I can point you to a previous thread. Willie's rig in the video is running Guitar Rig 3, I believe.

I own NI GuitarRig 4 Pro and I can attest that it is *very* worth it! I've used it live as well as in studio with excellent results. It has the most accurate reproduction of tones that I've ever heard, not to mention being bonehead easy to use; practically everything is drag and drop. I would recommend getting the Kontrol version (with the controller) for ultimate ease of use and functionality, especially live. I've used all the software-based systems, or modelers, and GuitarRig is, by far, the best out there.

I liked the demo so much i tried buying it during the thanksgiving sale, but order got messed up . I agree for me it's the best sounding software modeler i've used/heard.

So much so that i've considered trying to incorporate it into my live rig for FX and extra tones. The high gain models actually had TONE!
