  • Bluetooth Transmitting to a speaker in another room

Wondering if anyone has any ideas on how to hook up a bluetooth speaker to an audio board so that we can have a speaker in our parent/child area. We meet in a school so a permanent cord run is not an option, and the sound board is on the opposite end of the worship center from said parent child area. A cord run from the sound board to the area in question is not feasible, as it would cross doorways and be unsafe. Thanks!! I tried searching for a post on this topic, but had no luck.

I wouldn't recommend that at all. Bluetooth is reliable for like 30 feet and line of site is a big issue. Hosa makes a Tx/Rx switchable piece of gear that you could transmit from your sound board with, but, I wouldn't.

The lowest level I'd consider is using something like this:

But, just know, there is a reason you ALWAYS see cables run to every speaker at every event you go to.

Thanks, It sounds like I may just have to find a cable and some cord covers to keep the trip hazard down.
