Even if it's just working with one other person, I enjoy collaboration and because I am so people oriented it has really shaped how I do ministry. I can't imagine doing it any other way as I have seen the results - which have been very positive for our team and church. I will probably write more on this later to elaborate. I have felt and believed what you write about here, but I've never really thought about it in the way you present. I remember several years ago, I took a 1-year sabbatical out of full-time church staff ministry to pursue some dreams in my business and to "itinerate" as a worship leader. I led worship all over the place, did a tour - but I didn't have a band - it was just myself, and I'd put something together when I arrived, sometimes. I wasn't crazy about this - because I missed the "togetherness". I missed the "team" that I had back home. All the little, insignificant petty issues that can get under our skin as we are "together" seemed to just fade away once our "togetherness" was broken. Does that make sense?
