I'd have to suggest the late Robert Webber. Great insight on the non-vogue Ancient-Future Worship model.

Now that would make for an interesting seminar topic:

Jordan Fowler: "Why I Am A Reformed Anglico-Baptist Who Believes In The Holy Spirit Even Though I Don't Have The Gift Of Tongues"

Thanks for weighing in, Jordan. Have you read any of Dr. John Witvliet's work on Reformed liturgy?

As one who grew up in a Mainline Liturgical Church, I sometimes miss the weight of the liturgy. That it has been done for centuries puts me in the breadth and span of the Church rather than a consumeristic position of how does this moment feel.

On my Sunday's off, I rarely attend another modern worship church but usually go Episcopal, Lutheran, etc. Very refreshing.

I would love to see a hybrid of the historical liturgy as the skeletal framework with both ancient and modern elements as the meat (I know there are some doing this). We also need to continue to use a diversity of liturgies including the Isaiah 6 model, the Revelation Table model, The Tabernacle model, etc.

Maybe I can be a "Reformed Anglico-Baptist who believes in the Holy Spirit even though don't have the gift of tongues" guy.
