We only enjoy a choir once in a great while – and with 40+ it was amazing!

  • Jesus Messiah, He is Faithful, Deep in Love with You, and more at The Table this morning.

  • Week Four of our series “Fully Orbed” went something like this:

Winter weather can be treacherous when you live in the hilly terrain of Pittsburgh. It’s always a tough decision to make when canceling worship in the church, and conditions on the roads can change from hour to hour. The roads can be clear and passable before church, and then the people emerge from the sanctuary to find that conditions changed while they were in worship. That’s what happened to us on Saturday night. I was proud of our pastor for deciding that church was ON for Saturday night at Central Highlands, and the half hour drive through the hills to the church only took us an extra few minutes because the roads were in good shape. But after the service, I was second-guessing the wisdom of not canceling as I was sliding all over the place on the way home. But, 19 hardy souls braved the weather, and we worshiped together. On SUNDAY, however, both of my churches thought it wiser to cancel services due to the snowy and cold conditions. I feel like these were the correct decisions, but I still have one set list to report for Saturday night.
