Contemporary services: Who Am I? (special music – soloist), Holy Is The Lord, Blessed Be the Name, All I Need Is You (prayer song), and 10,000 Reasons (Bless the Lord)

Nothing like a platform gear shuffle due to a wedding! Our team put Humpty Dumpty back together OK for this set this morning:

We’re slowly moving our worship set to after the sermon and it’s going really well!

We actually had the “soft opening” (a.k.a. practice service) for our new youth-driven contemporary service, ENCOUNTER, at 1st UMC, & it went far better than even I expected. We’re gearing up for our big concert on the 31st, then our launch on the 9th… very excited.

    Our worship set was:

WALK IN: “Look & See” – Michael Bleecker & the Village Church

    1.) “Like a Lion” – Daniel Bashta

2.) “Our God” – Chris Tomlin et. al.

    3.) “Set a Fire” – United Pursuit

    and following the sermon

4.) “10,000 Reasons” by Matt Redman et. al.

I can tell after just one Sunday that “Look and See” is going to become a staple song for us, & I plan on also introducing “God Undefeatable” by Aaron Ivey & Austin Stone, as well as Casey Darnell & Northpoint’s incredible “Our Great God”.

Sunday Recap at Grace Church – This includes a failed attempt to a live Skype video chat. We like to share our successes, but we need to learn from our failures as well.
