Had the privilege of playing with my son on the drums today. It wasn’t Father’s day, but it felt like it!

This weekend’s gathering was powerful. The team only did two songs (had four on the setlist), but the Holy Spirit decided to do something different. Many people heard from God at the same time, and shared with the congregation. Our worship leader said she did not feel any pressure to continue to the next song (the current song was “Our God is Love”) so the band just played while people shared what they heard from God. As a result, several people were healed of back pain as the church gathered together to pray for those suffering with chronic back issues (prompted by someone hearing God to pray for back pain). It was like a spiritual orchestra where the Holy Spirit was conducting and everyone played their part according to what the Holy Spirit was doing. It was a tender time, and you could feel God’s love in the place! I love God’s tenderness, and his willingness to interrupt our “regularly scheduled programming.” :-)
