Sunday Setlists #162

Share your worship confessionals, recaps, and setlists for the week of: Sunday, August 28, 2011

Welcome to the 162nd consecutive week of “Sunday Setlists”. The purpose of “Sunday Setlists” is to share a recap of your worship services. What songs did you use, what arrangements? What worked really well and what didn’t work as well as you’d like? What issues did you have preparing? What is the sermon series? How about creative elements used in the service? You don’t have to be the pastor or worship leader to participate. We would really love to get reviews from the perspective of those in our congregations each week.

Click here to receive an email reminder each week to participate.

We don’t usually go so oldschool, so it was about time. Worship music cam polarize or unify, and we are trying to bridge the gap between the generations in our church. We also want our younger attenders to experience the richness and history of the hymns. Setlists like this are our attempt to help everyone connect a bit more.

You Are Good, Run, He Is Faithful, Your Great Name, and God of Miracles

God is moving in mighty ways in our meetings. Our worship leader felt led by the Spirit to have members of the congregation pray over anyone seeking the healing of God. So, while the music team played, people were laying on hands and praying for those needing divine intervention. It was REALLY powerful.

Still awaiting updates to those prayers. The Holy Spirit is moving stronger than Irene. :-)
