Sunday Setlists #159

Share your worship confessionals, recaps, and setlists for the week of: Sunday, August 7, 2011

Welcome to the 159th consecutive week of “Sunday Setlists”. The purpose of “Sunday Setlists” is to share a recap of your worship services. What songs did you use, what arrangements? What worked really well and what didn’t work as well as you’d like? What issues did you have preparing? What is the sermon series? How about creative elements used in the service? You don’t have to be the pastor or worship leader to participate. We would really love to get reviews from the perspective of those in our congregations each week.

Thanks for particpating, Bill! I love that you had one of your young guys jump in on drums! One of the phrases that jumped out (and blessed my heart) was that you said he “served the congregation well” – I love that perspective and it’s one that I try and teach EVERY worship team member! Playing on the team is about 2 things primarily: 1) glorifying God, 2) serving the congregation (which brings Glory to God!! Everything else is icing!

Thanks for sharing, Holly! VBS can take a toll, but I’m glad all your band members made it through! Also sounds like you had a great day partaking in Communion as well!
