I am in a quandry. I am a new worship leader with a veteran band. We have a flute and a sax, and they ALWAYS play melody. Whatever the piano plays, they are right there. They will NOT play when asked, but I can't find any reasonable way to find sheet music for contemporary songs for these instruments. We have NO budget and I'm not independently wealthy, so what now?
Thanks for the article, by the way, just what I needed to jump start into this question.

Excellent. When I first joined the worship team, I did so playing a bodhran. Definitely an instrument you need to know when not to play!

Definitely a great article. This is a must for anybody who plays anything other than the big "4" ---drums, bass, guitar, or keys.

Wonderful tips!
