I love the dvd Hail to the King. I just wish I could view the words while watching it. But I will learn it all eventualy. I worship in the morning before I go to work .I play the music loud for the glory of Jesus! Halleluja! Hail to the King! I love Him!

I gotta be honest, with the exception of "You Are Here (The Same Power)", the album is covering up VERY mediocre songs with great production. Their version of "I'm Not Ashamed" is bad - I don't know how else to say it - just plain bad.

I love the concept of the multi-person review that y'all have done but I hope there'll be an even higher standard for worship albums in future reviews. It's incredibly hard to find good reviews of worship albums anywhere because almost nobody is honest enough to say "this worship album isn't very good". But sometimes they're not and somebody needs to say so! If nobody does, then there's zero artistic acocuntability. And that's a bad thing! Good critique only challenges the worship community to rise to a greater level of excellence...

I listened to this CD, and I have to be honest in saying that none of these songs are usable to me or my congregation. I love it from a "listening to music" perspective, but, to me, it just doesn't translate into a multi-generational congregational worship setting, with the POSSIBLE exception of "He Is Greater." I think I had the "Gosh, I'm old" experience while listening to it.

I loved y'all reviewing the CD, though!

Yeah I can't wait to see/hear these live! The live video of You are Here is incredible!

Yeah Jodi, I've sang Swing Low Sweet Chariot I think all 4 years of high school choir. The story is a good one, stylistically it isn't my cup of tea. I'm interested in hearing it live though.

I was blessed enough to be able to experience these songs live in London. I had already purchased this CD along with a live CD+DVD that was pre-released in London. I got to hear all the great worship leaders - Joel Houston, Rueben Morgan, Israel Houghton - lead this great songs. It was an awesome experience. However, being led by the Hillsong London worship leader, Peter Wilson, was unbelievable. I highly recommend getting a copy of the live version as soon as it's released here in the states. It's a trimmed down version of the studio recording. Hail to the King is amazing and once you experience 4000+ people worshiping to this song, you will no longer call it "cheesy". Plus, you really need the story behind Swing Low, Sweet Chariot for it to all add up. I can't wait to start doing these songs with my church.

The Hail to the King album itself is a Studio album :) Hence all the extra effects etc on vocals. The live DVD has a live CD with it. Should be arriving soon. Shame iTunes in the UK aren't on the mark as it's not available over here yet.

By the way, Conner, Joel and Mandy... you guys did a great job! I was so interested to see your thoughts, where you agreed with me, and where we differed. Nice job!

This is really cool... I do like the side-by-side takes on each song. I'll have to check this out! (I have yet to pickup one of the London albums)
