Really. I love the feel- the sway without losing interest. We will definitely use this where God puts it. Thanks for this.
Love this song. I think it will work in our sets at church. I am going to start working on it.
Hey Gang,
Wow, nothing, nothing, NOTHING excites us more than knowing that this song captures interest and you'd consider singing this in your church. I need to make sure Trent sees this thread!
As I listen, I like the intro chords and how they play. Does anyone know what they are?
We have chord charts here.
Thanks Russ, but I have the chord chart, but it doesn't have the intro chords on it. From the sound of it, he is just adding a sus or 7 or something to the note to give it that sound. Or is he just playing the chords in the chorus?
That is what I was wanting to know. Sorry for the confusion.
Nevermind. I opened up the lead sheet and it gave me what I needed. I guess all I have to do it look, right.
Thanks for making this available! Great song! And it fits perfectly with our theme for Good Friday! I can't wait to learn it.
Just wanted to pause and say that I'm excited to be part of this community, grateful to Fred and Russ for supporting me as a writer and artist, and even more honored that you all would listen and consider using "Hallelujah I Am Free" in your local churches.
In the key of D:
The acoustic guitar pre-intro is fingered on the B and E strings--holding down 3rd and 2nd fret respectively, then using the pinky to grab that 5th fret on the E. In live worship I cut the intro in half.

Hey Gang,
See if this video shows up:
Great!! Thanks for the video.
Awesome, song! Thanks for sharing, GBU!
People bring me their stuff constantly to listen to. It always makes me nervous as they often sit there waiting for my critique - there would be no hesitation to give 2 thumbs up on this song!
My number one criticism is usually "It's Not Singable by the average person!!"
But, this one is! Way to go!!
Sorry trying my best to find Christian musicians and why not try on this page, I give him praise. All for His Love. The Music and His Love combined triggers the unspeakable.

What a great song! I'm on vacation this week, but I'm thinking I'll put this one in my set list for either next week or the week after. Singable, simple without being boring, and an excellent message. All the hallmarks of an excellent worship song!
