Copyright/License Qs: Memory Videos and Preservice

I had a question and wanted some resources about this issue.

Can I just put a Hillsong United (or any other band) song licensing behind my video or do I need a license?

And how does everyone do preservice music? If we play a CD or a few music videos, do we need any licensing?

*The reason I am asking for help is because this is really a heart issue for me-if I am supposed to be getting the proper clearance and I am not-I feel it is stealing.

Go to Welcome To CCLI and register your church. There is a fee and it is based on your church size and number of times used, etc. This takes care of MOST of your license stuff. Watch the explanation videos and read the resources and that should answer the rest of your questions.

Last but not least, if you aren't sure what you are doing is covered... just call them and tell them what you are doing in service and they will make sure you have all the correct coverage. 1 (800) 234-2446

They are the professionals, they deal with it for a living and part of what you pay is what pays them... so you are paying for their expertise.... use it.
