Default TWCSW Feb. Praise the Lord! Love the Lord!

This is my song #2 for this project. My first song, Lord, I Come, is somewhat subdued by virtue of its content, so I wrote these words to be celebratory in nature.

The song seems wordy, but v3 is a mix of the first 2, and can be sung in place of repeating a verse, as is typical. Then it breaks into the joyful children's song, "Praise Him! Praise Him! All Ye Little Children."

As with my first submission, this song is also in need of a collaborator to provide the music, so feel free to jump in, and feel free to offer critiques.

Scripture used for this song is from Psalm 31:21,23; also 3,7,14,15,16.

Praise Him! Love Him!
words by Tom Kline

(1.)
Praise the Lord!
He shows his never-ending love
Praise the Lord!
He keeps me safe from harm
Praise the Lord!
When everything comes crashing down
Praise the Lord!
He wraps me in his arms
And I am safe

(2.)
Love the Lord!
O love him all you faithful ones
Love the Lord!
Because he first loved me
Love the Lord!
He is my rock, my fortress strong
Love the Lord!
I'm his eternally
And I am loved

(Bridge)
Overcome with joy
'Cause of your great love
Trusting you, O Lord
For you are my God
My future is held
In your nail-scarred hands
I am praising you
I am loving you

(3.)
Praise the Lord!
He shows his never-ending love
Love the Lord!
He keeps me safe from harm
Love the Lord!
He is my rock, my fortress strong
Praise the Lord!
He wraps me in his arms
And I am his

Praise Him! Praise Him!
All ye little children
God is love, God is love X2

Love Him! Love him!
All ye little children
God is love, God is love (X2)

(Tag)
Praise the Lord
Love the Lord
(Come on and) Praise the Lord
(Won't you) Love the Lord (repeat 2X)

I'm gonna take a closer look at this next week! I want to try my hand at adding some music to this!

Thanks for looking at it Russ. I know you're all fired up after the conference you were at. And thanks for your good words about "Lord I Come."

I have been tooling around on this, onces again, I think you have written more of a hym sounding song. I tried modifying the TAG and two misc stanzas to form a chorus for the song to build a more modern worship flow, but your lyricism seems primarily adept for this to become a hym. I like it... I can't wait to hear what some of the others come up with for it.
