Default Hi, I'm John Lewis from N.Wilkesboro, NC

Hi! I'm John. I am the Worship Pastor/Associate Pastor of Celebration Church in N. Wilkesboro, NC. Our church was the recipient of the Saddleback Church Health Award in 2006. I have been at Celebration for 5 years now. I was bivocational for four of those years. I have been full time for one year now. I lead worship for 2 of our 3 sunday services, oversee all service production (worship teams, media, technical), as well as giving Pastoral leadership to our First Impressions Ministries. I typically teach our new members classes at the church, and as of late I have been doing a lot of marriage counselling.

Before coming on staff at the church full time I was a high school math teacher in the public school system in NC. I graduated from Appalachian State (who recently whooped up on Michigan!) as a part of the NC Teaching Fellows Scholarship Program. I miss my students sometimes but not all of the politics involved in the educational system.

Before being involved in Worship Ministry, I was involved in youth ministry for four years in a traditional/country church.

My wife and I have two small children. I love being a dad!

I heard about The Worship Community from the Highest Praise Podcast. I "accidentally" discovered the podcast recently and decided to check things out. I'm looking forward to this experience.

    Hey John,

Welcome! Thanks for the bio - sounds like an exciting place to be. I'm glad you posted that you heard about TWC from the podcast - I always wonder if anybody is "really listening" out there. My stats show that several hundred people are .. but I seldom get feedback from them, so it's great to hear from you on that!

I hope to be more consistent in offering that podcast.

I look forward to your input here - take some time and check out the threads, and feel free to create your own.

    God bless,
    Fred
