Hello,
I signed up a long time ago but haven't really been active.
I'll try to give a really brief background on myself. I've been a Christian since a very young age. I've been involved in worship since 1999 when I first started as a drummer in youth group. Since then, I've been involved as a guitarist/drummer for various bodies/small groups/ministries as I entered college and then later the Marine Corps.
The Marine Corps took me all around the country (and world) and through this, God gave me opportunities to be involved with worship teams from large churches with outstanding worship teams to fledgling churches that were just planted, to small-community sized bodies. It's been a real blessing and growing experience.
I got out of the Corps last year and have settled in a new home church close to home in Northern VA. Though I've served as a worship leader for small-group-type bodies, I am now for my first time being worked into the worship leader rotation for the whole church (or at least for the English side of my Korean-American church). And so I thought I'd return to TWC to take advantage of the wisdom and experience of others.
Ben
Welcome back, Ben!!! God is doing amazing things in VA (from what I hear). I'd love to hear what God is doing in your church there. I have a heart for multicultural churches, so I tend to get excited about them through this forum. Again, welcome back! Blessings!!!
