    Default Children's Choir Resources Needed

I am looking for curriculum, repertoire, warm-ups, games etc for a children's choir. I want to go beyond "stand up front and look cute." Anybody out there found anything for kids that has a good balance of fun/interesting and musically legit?

Jeff McCullough who.produced our Tree Hill Collective stuff has a cool thing called jumpstart3 out. Its original tunes in a very current pop sound produced very well with scripture passages. Kids in his local area love it.

I really like WorshipHouse Media Kids song tracks and resources. We also recirculate past VBS songs and use a lot of the Hillsong Kids arrangements and CDs.

More recently we have been experimenting with the children adding another layer to adult choir. Our Christmas program for example, one song the little girls will enter dressed as angels (cheesy to some, so sweet to others), and they have some lyrical type dance moves.

It seems every year the kids are younger and younger when they become too cool to perform worship without being embarrassed. So we are really working to push a wide variety of opportunities for worship inclusion both with and without singing. Let us know if you find something really cool.

I have found the book "How to Lead Children's Choirs" (Bridges and Allcock) to be especially helpful. It is really beneficial for musical, physiological, and practical things to do with your children's choirs. It also has a lot of helpful examples of exercises that are easy to utilize. This will mostly just be helpful with warm-ups and games, but will not solve your curriculum and repertoire questions.
