Could REALLY Use Your Prayers

Would appreciate your prayers.. I've told many of you about my back problems.. I was at the pain clinic yesterday, and they had to stop part way through the procedure, because I was "to far gone" for them to continue with treatment"... I've never screamed so much in my life from the pain they were putting me through.. Everyone in the office could hear me..

Well I got back my MRI results today and along with my 7 herniated disks, one of them is compressed again and I need surgery again (had the same thing last year).. Hoping for a more intense surgery this time, so I don't have to go back every year..

The big issue is, I'm out of work right now, as I resigned from my position in May as I felt God calling me elsewhere, but haven't found anything yet.. Also in searching elsewhere, it's going to be hard to find a church to hire me when I have to take 3 months to recover from surgery... I've got a wife and 2 kids to provide for.. And the Canada government won't give you EI if you voluntarily leave a job.. So I'm going to apply for disability.. But I've heard it's a very long process.. My wife works, and it helps, but it's not enough, so I really need disability to go through quickly.. I know I'll qualify, as I can barely walk.. But I've heard it can take as long as 6 months to approve, especially for someone as young as me (27)

Please pray.. Obviously I'd love to just be healed and move on with life.. But so far, that doesn't seem Gods plan.. So in the meantime, we really need his provision, which we know he can do, and has done.

Wow, Chris! I wish I was there in person to contend with you for the Lord's healing. An internet prayer will have to do. :-)

Father,
Your love is amazing, your grace is incomparable, your promises are sure, and your word is trustworthy. You don't heal based on what we do or what we say. You heal because you love, and your love abounds in mercy. I've seen your works, Lord. You healed my brother, Randall, of a brain tumor that threatened his life. You healed my sister, Lanie, of a life-threatening illness and even provided the finances to cover the entire hospital stay amounting to the hundreds of thousands of dollars. Another brother is in need of this same mercy-rich love. Father, Chris is in need of your healing touch. Pour your love all over him, from the top of his head to the bottom of his feet. Let the healing you bring him be a testimony of your great love and your great mercy. Make him clean before you as you have many others before him. We ask this and contend for it because the stripes on the back of your son, Jesus, were meant to heal us. According to your steadfast love, command the discs to rejuvenate. Give Chris a new back with new discs just as you did the man in Jerusalem just last year. Provide him the finances necessary to support his wife and family just as you did my sister. Chris' heart cries out to you and is broken before you. His broken spirit is an offering to you, and a broken spirit you do not despise. Reveal yourself to Chris so he may see and know the deep, wide and vast love you have for him. Father, you are a good dad. Thank you for hearing us, and responding to our cries. We love you, and we come before you in the name of your son, Jesus. Amen!
