Intro - Krisna of Philippines

hi everyone.

i'm Krisna Mae Salatandre from Iligan City of Philippines. i am 28 years old and a member of Iligan City Community Church, a Southern Baptist church. the LORD has been using me as a worship leader since i was in high school at the age of 15. At that time, our church was still new in establishing praise and worship during our sunday services. i did not have any formal training in worship leading but i know deep in my heart that i am called to this ministry when i first encountered the LORD during one particular evening worship at age 14. Since then, i attended worship nights in other churches (with our pastor's permission and encouragement) because i was so hungry to know the LORD and to know all that He has in store for His people. i wanted to explore His Presence. i was so drawn to worship and the power God puts in the worship songs that He can minister to every person seeking Him. i can still remember the afternoons where i immediately go to my room after coming home from school and play my very first worship cassette tape - Hillsong's "Touching Heaven, Changing Earth" and just dance and worship the LORD in that private room.

i am so excited to be part of the worship community. i've been reading the forums at the start of this year and it has been so helpful, edifying and encouraging reading insights and experiences of co-worship ministers all around the globe. it's so exciting to know that i'm a part of something bigger.
