Hey, I'm Brandon, a 3ish year synth/piano player and first year worship leader (positionally, technically everybody is a leader on the stage but that's a duh) in my youth group Generation Church (East Coast baby!!!) which is based in Utica, NY out of the church recently renamed to Redeemer Church from Mt. Zion Ministries.

Like I said I recently was introduced to a role of greater leadership in my youth group's worship team, and have been an attender of my church for about 15 years so I've see a LOOOOOOTTTTT of changes in music that even now affect my musical tastes (My higher up is not so keen on Keith Green and Jason Upton, but I digress).

Since I'm so new to leadership, I've been devouring leadership books and trying to continually allow my life to be less filled with me and filled more with God, but I sort of seek mentorship? I love reading about David because of his heavy use by God in writing the psalms and because of a book I read called "A Tale of Three Kings" which highlights his life as an example of brokenness which just enthralls me (as it does you, according to your "For Teams and Leaders" forum) but I sort of want more current mentorship. My main worship leader who has inspired me throughout the years has recently had a child and is part of my church's children's ministry so he doesn't really have time to mentor me /=

So that's why why I feel like God has directed me here! Please to make your acquaintance and I hope God can use me to help you in any way I can as well!

I'm not sure you will find a "mentor" here, but you will find a family of caring people who have walked in your shoes and can give you guidance and encouragement. Look at the Forums; many topics have already been explored, and if you have a question, just comment on an existing thread, or start your own.
