My name is Andrea and my husband Edwin and I are music ministers here in San Antonio. My husband just finished almost 8 years here at a church. God told us to resign and we are seeking him in what is next.
Here's a link to a worship service that Edwin and I did together, and a Christian jazz coffeehouse performance my hubby did with some of his friends.

He is a saxophone player first, but plays piano, and just about every other instrument known to mankind. He wrote or arranged all the pieces you hear in the jazz recording.
We are looking into helping churches with fill-in work - like when someone goes on vacation, or coming in to guest music and even a min-workshop with the praise team.
Would love to know what you think!
It's great to be here!

Andrea,
Kewl to hear that you are from SA. I used to live there and living now in the midwest I miss my breakfast burritos.
I dig the jazz! What I listened to was a little more "light" jazz than I tend to like. (I love the crazy fusion stuff) But it's also super cool to see someone doing something other than acoustic-rock worship.
I'll pray for your job hunt, I'm looking for where God wants me to be too.
Less is more.
Unless you are tipping your waiter, in which case more than 20% is more.

Ok, sorry I called it "light." I didn't listen long enough to get to your husband's sax solo. This stuff is freaking awesome!

Thanks guys! Edwin is an incredible saxophone player, and pretty humble about it all. I didn't know until years after were married that the music school he went to (Eastman School of Music) only allows 3 saxophone players in a year WORLDWIDE. He had to audition against students around the world to get in. I only found that out from his mom.
Billy - the church we left is currently looking for someone - but it is a big position to fill. The youth minister minister left as well - so the position has been made a combo position worship/youth/and family. Email me if you want the info.![]()
