Im interested in seeing the trend. I WANT to jump on stuff like this, but as I do with reading I expect I'll end up sticking with paper anyways!

I failed the kindle transition... but I do love our ipad. I just think if I go through all the hassle getting my stuff into OnSong I know I will end up dragging my binder(s) out sooner or later.

That's exactly what I do, except our monitors sit on the stage instead of on a stand and I control it with a bluetooth pedal http://chrisburke.ca/2011/10/17/onsong/

I've seen iPad as a synth, controled via midi, and I've also seen it as a remote VNC controller for a StudioLive console.

I've used it in youth group to run GarageBand when I've led by myself. I can record some quick synth and drum tracks. The patches are a little cheesy.
I've also used more realistic tracks, just running them in the music app (ipod part of ipad).

Additionally, I've used it ForScore sheet music app in our adult worship service (quasi-traditional service with orchestra, so I have to use scores when I don't have the music memorized).

I love the ipad for worship settings.

Also, our back of house ProPresenter (for the choir to read words) is run off ProPresenter for ipad. It's set up on a mac in the tech booth, but a choir member actually runs the words from the choir loft. It's great because the more leader-minded choir members are much, MUCH better at running words (especially the more complicated choir pieces) than a techie is (no offense).

Default iPad for Sheetmusic/Control of Ableton Live

I've been putting my iPad to work since I got it. I've written a few posts and created some videos showing how I'm using it. As of now I'm primarily using it:
    1) To control Ableton Live via Touch OSC running the free Live Control Template
    and...
    2) To automate/sync page turns with Live via Scorecerer on for my sheet music.

Because I only have one iPad at the moment I'm normally using the iPad for either one or the other, although I'm considering getting another iPad (potentially an old iPad 1) for just sheet music.

    Here's the videos/posts below:

We use planningcenteronline.com for all of our worship planning, and they have an application called "music stand" that is great. You can also buy a foot pedal to hook up to your ipad to change the pages.
