    Default Hurricane Irene

    Hey All,

My home, the Outer Banks (OBX) of NC has been hit with historic flooding. Never been anything like it. Tons of damage, but I've yet to hear of any deaths in our area. Tornadoes and house fires as well, people without electricity, a huge part of the islands are without power, phone service, water, and rescue is just now reaching them. My house is dry, but it's one of the few. Would appreciate your prayers for our community, as well as our church as we seek to serve those around us. If you'd like to see photos of the damage, find me on facebook.

    Default Same here...

Terrible, historic flooding in Vermont and esp. in my town. Bridges gone, no electricity, water. Many homes flooded. STILL raining.

I'll be taking the rest of my work week (and hopefully more next week) to help people in my community who are cleaning up. Please, pray for our community. We're under major pressure to clean up as quickly as possible so tourists can re-enter and our economy can get rolling again.

    Hi Nate and everyone.
My wife and I just returned last week after being in New Jersey for several weeks. We were part of the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Operation that was put in place for Hurricane Irene. That is why I have not bee on TWC lately. My wife and I have gone out to many disasters in the U.S. as part of what we do for the American Red Cross. Flooding, by far, is the worst and take so long to deal with.

We continue to pray for everyone in the states that were impacted.

    Faith in Christ
    Rich
