Fast, Upbeat, Energetic Worship Songs?
I lead worship for a youth group and they really like to worship with fast music. However, there aren't many to choose from. It seems most "modern" songs are mid-tempo, 2 verses, a chorus, and a bridge, in the key of B, and very mellow. I like these songs and so do they, but they don't get into them much. Any requests for fast, upbeat, energetic worship songs?
Every Move I Make
Trading My Sorrows
Counting on God
and probably a few more that I can't think of off the top of my head.
Fast songs are always the hardest to find!
Here are some I love:
My Future Decided - Hillsong United
Awesome Is the Lord Most High - Chris Tomlin
Beautiful One - Tim Hughes
There is No One Like You - David Crowder Band
Here Is Our King - David Crowder Band
O Praise Him - David Crowder Band
Holding Nothing Back - Jesus Culture
All Because of Jesus - Fee
A simple key change will make them more suited to your voice.
I really like Kristian Stanfill's upbeat material. Try Alive & Running and Say, Say.
Rise & Sing - Fee
Solid Rock - New Life Worship
Solution - Hillsong United
Everlasting God - by Brenton Brown, but Jeremy Camp has my favorite recording
God Is Moving - Jon Abel
I Am Free
Let God Arise - Chris Tomlin
My Savior Lives - New Life Worship
I have to change the key most of the time because I'm an alto and most worship artists it seems are high tenors. G and E are the main keys I sing in. And yeah the fast ones are hard to find! Well, the ones that don't sound cheesy that is. We do All Because of Jesus in big church on Sunday mornings. I should do that one. And David Crowder is awesome.

Just a tidbit, plenty of songs listed here.
I completely agree with that. And most of the time that's what ends up happening. I like to play with dynamics and contrast, but sometimes speed just can't be changed. I've tried and failed horribly haha but there are ways to make it work.
