Default Palm Sunday - Song Ideas?

    Hey Gang,
Time to plan (past time, actually) a setlist for this coming Sunday, which is Palm Sunday ... anybody have some good ideas for this?

I always think of "Hosanna" type songs, as when Jesus came into town ... we did Paul Baloche/Brenton Brown's "Hosanna" yesterday, though I suppose we could do it again.

    Default More Songs

    Fred,

Yeah - "Hosanna" (Baloche/Brown) is a great one!

    We've also used:
    "Hosanna" - Brooke Fraser
"Lift Up Your Heads" - Tommy Walker
"Hosanna" - Kirk Franklin (a great one for gospel fans!)

Looking forward to seeing other song ideas...

Just starting to think about it, really.

"Hosanna" (Fraser) is definitely on the list. We may bust out the old Carl Tuttle version as well.

I'll have a better idea in a day or two.

We're also looking at Holy Week/Easter. We're doing a church-wide seder dinner on Thursday, which will include Communion. We'll be doing "Remembrance (Communion Song) by Mayer/Redman.

Palm Sunday, to me, should scream "traditional", or at least as traditional as one could be, considering the team you have. No Palm Sunday service is complete without, say, All Glory Laud and Honor or Lift Up your Heads Ye Mighty Gates.

Medley a repetitious p/w chorus with it if you must (it's in A and C, respectively). Also, it depends if your church has plans for Thu and Friday services ...
