Today is a beautiful day in Pennsylvania. 55 degrees. It is a beautiful day to hear God's voice.

I haven't been reading the activities in the back of the book for each week. Not actually being together with all of you makes it more difficult to complete these groups tasks. However, the activity for the week we just ended is another perfect habit to form to help us learn to recognize God's voice.

I know God speaks to me and I am aware of things he has said to me in the past, but I still don't feel like I am as in-tune with hearing him as I need to be.

The activity for this week asks us to sit alone quietly inside or outside for 5 minutes. I will be sitting outside since it is a beautiful day. I will close my eyes and listen for every sound I hear. I know it will be in that time that I will hear things that I don't normally take the time to hear because I am busy running here and there. It may be a bird singing, or a chainsaw in the distance, the cars driving by, dogs barking in the distance. I take the noise around me for granted, but fine tuning into listening to the sounds outside will help me to fine tune my hearing. Then I will take time to pray and fine tune my hearing in the same way toward God.

I hope you will all join me at some point in the next few days to do the same. "Happy Listening"!
