Yes.
I stumbled across them long before they were in the public eye. Love the grittiness and rawness of the music they make. Good stuff.

The Swell Season is awesomeness. And yes, they are the people from the movie Once which also is brilliant. My husband and I just saw them here in Dallas about 2 weeks ago and it was one of the best concerts i've ever been to.
Glen Hansard's writing is beautiful and the passion that he shows when he plays and all through his music is just amazing. Then there is sweet little Marketa Irglova who plays just lovely and her voice is so soft and sweet. I actually listed to Glen Hansard's band The Frames before the movie Once and enjoyed their stuff. But when Once came out...wow... it almost changed my whole style of writing.

I love _Once_, and while I have yet to hear _the Swell Season_ yet, my wife has it on her iPod, and says it's very good.

i stumbled upon the movie at my local redbox without knowing anything about it. from the first scene i thought glen was a cross between damian rice and dashboard(obviously just in acoustic styling...not the whinny crying part). i bought the soundtrack and jam it at least "ONCE" a week...sorry about that.

Damian and Dashboard are awesome. Do you listen to Ray LaMontagne? A concert with Ray, Damian, and Glen would be epic
