Random Fellowship and Babbling Sometimes we just like to talk ... to tell a joke ... to say something that doesn't mean anything. Or just to carry on "dialog" that isn't focused on any worship-related topic. Just being friends and silly. That's what this thread is for. Enjoy.

Krista,

I absolutely LOVE The Swell Season. I first heard them when I recorded an Austin City Limits show - I saved that recording.

Here's the real bummer: They are playing TONIGHT in Ann Arbor, a quick drive from here. But I have a prior commitment: WORSHIP TEAM REHEARSAL!!! And our WL likes the group too, but rescheduling rehearsal just for that would not go over well. So ... I guess I wait until next time they are here.

Lou

I have some friends driving from Columbus, OH to be at that Ann Arbor show tonight, but unfortunately, I will not be among them :-(

Buckeyes going to Wolverine territory? That could be scary.

Sorry for going totally OT. I'm a Buckeye fan and my husband and kid are Wolverines, even though they're the ones who were born and raised in OH and I wasn't. Go figure.

Back to the topic at hand: I had never heard of The Swell Season, but took a listen on their site. I like.

Hey, I've been in Ohio most of my life (and Columbus for almost 6 years), and I still haven't caught the OSU bug. I use games as opportunities to get out and do things with nobody else around :-P

I'm in IL now, and I miss all things Buckeye. Especially concerts at the Schottenstein Center.
