A look at Ed Fuchs’ life suggests there’s no such thing as accident or coincidence. Every person and experience fulfills a purpose, and eventually, these things converge to create something more significant than their individual parts. From metal band front man to worship singer, Fuchs has traveled through addictions to redemption, with music a constant companion. A child flutist turned singer/songwriter/guitar player, Fuchs brings his training in musical theory and composition to every song, creating a complex sound that moves beyond the surface. In this, his first compilation, there is a haunting thread that travels through each song. It’s more than just technique and tuning that enliven Fuchs’ songs; it’s the openness and ache laid bare as he deals with the things of the soul.
