Default Yamaha DTXtreme III XL DRUMS-- Should I Buy???

Hi All,

I cannot begin to thank everyone for all the great insights that have been shared with me on this forum.

We're looking into purchasing a GOOD electronic drum kit. I have seen promo DVDS of this kit on ebay, but wanted to get comments from worship team players as to any review you can provide -- or alternative kit.

Our drummer is not professional, but we want the "best" / natural sounds / flexibility from a kit -- from live performance to recording.

Thanks in advance... Blessings to all.

Obviously, electronic kits aren't for everyone (as has been debated many times before), but if that's the route you want to go, the Yamaha is a very good choice. We've had one of the DTXtreme kits for a little over a year now and have been thrilled with them. The sounds are great... a lot of times I'll forget my drummer isn't playing an acoustic kit because they sound so natural in my IEM mix. I can also say that as a drummer myself, it's one of the only electronic kits I've ever been able to really enjoy playing. Definitely worth the investment if you want a good electronic set.
