So let's talk still graphics software.
What do you use and why? Any complaints? Any praises? Did you get it at a discount for your church?

You left After Effects off the list man! Don't motion graphics count? We use that like, well, my job depended on it. HaHa.

Fixed to designate still graphics. Travis, care to make a poll for the motion graphics?

I'm not a graphics guy AT ALL - but I have nifty little shareware program on the Mac called Graphic Converter that works great for quickie, simple things like resizing an image or exporting it as something "different".

I use Gimp. Not because I am cheap, but because I am cheap. I have been a follower of open-source operating systems and open-source software for several years, so I gave Gimp a try.
I have to say I have been quite impressed with the capabilities of this software.
I am sure I would enjoy more expensive packages, but since I can't get those packages subsidized for my computer I am quite content with what I can do with Gimp.

Adobe discounts for churches only came to Canada this year. They changed the tax rules to allow churches to fit into the discount category. A few of us on staff got Adobe packages recently and I've been spending some time learning After Effects as well as doing more stuff with Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere.
It's great software and I find it gets better and easier to use with each version.

Is the poll feature something available within the forum or do I need to know HTML to do something like this? Or is this an Admin feature?

Start a new post and in the "Additional Options" area is a place for polls.
