Hello everybody. Here's the low-down on yours truly...

I'm Chuck Hutcheson, a 34 year old multi-instrumentalist with a day job, married to a wonderful gal with whom I have 2 teenage step-daughters, living in Baxley, Georgia, and working in McRae, Georgia with my dad's commercial window company. I've led or co-led worship groups over the years, taught privately, performed many genres and in many venues, in different states, in studios, on stage, outside, inside, you name it. I have a Pro Tools LE home recording studio - Mac based, and I am blessed to have all the basic rhythm instruments and software you would need to do a professional recording - drums, keyboards, guitars, bass, microphones, etc.

I'm a trumpet player of 24 years, and a saxophonist of 8 years, but don't let the difference in years fool you. I consider myself near equal on each individual instruments (soprano-alto-tenor-baritone sax, trumpet, flugel-horn), and I also play keyboards / piano. And I try not to let many people know that I sing... In my truck... On the way to work... When I know that no one is looking.

I'm a former Georgia Southern University music performance major (trumpet), and I'm also a graduate of The Recording Workshop (audio engineering / recording) located in Chillicothe, Ohio. I've also taken courses and am a certified trained volunteer for the correctional systems of Georgia. I've been in church "all my life", as they say, and have been a part of different denominations over the years.

Currently I do not have any commitments to a specific church, but I find myself working with many individuals and worship groups in Douglas, Baxley, Hazlehurst, and abroad. I do submit myself to Pastor Marty Hooks of Life Outreach in Soperton, Georgia.

As a pro-level horn player, I often have opportunities to perform with local groups at private parties, weddings, community events, and at many different functions. I have judged local talent shows, I write and arrange for folks who record in my studio, and I have produced and co-produced projects regionally. For a demo CD of studio tracks I've recorded for myself and others, simply contact me.

My personal desire regarding music ministry is for quality in sound and music, for humility regarding all aspects of ministry and "performance", and worship as a lifestyle (and I'm not necessarily speaking of music), as our very lives are worship to God.

Special areas of interest to me are recording / mixing / producing, ancient history, local history, weightlifting, natural remedies, and of course - anything to do with music. My preferred musical styles are jazz & blues, but I enjoy performing and / or writing & arranging in most all styles. I enjoy the music of Pat Metheny, Freddie Hubbard, Soulive, MMW, Glenn Kaiser / Rez Band / Resurrection Band, Russ Taff, Servant, Bride, Ken Tamplin, Deliverance, southern rock, jazz fusion, just about anything of quality.

Ehh, that's enough boring information for now. If you want to write & find out just how much I can do or just how great I am (HAH!!!), then just drop me a line. God Bless all ya'll...

Hi Chuck. Welcome to the family.

I also am a horn player. I played trumpet, trombone, and baritone in highschool and went part of the way through college on a trombone scholarship.

You seem like you will have a lot of experience to share with the group. Thanks for joining us.

(And on a sidenote... please read the "Sticky: New Members - Read First Before Posting (http://www.theworshipcommunity.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5)" and fix your title)

Hey Mike -
Absolutely - there are several qualified folks, and we have 2-3 great audio techs monitoring the "Audio" forum in the Tech Section as well!

Hey Chuck!

For those of you don't know, I owned Chuck at GSU in the marching and jazz bands...Even though he's extremely skilled on the trumpet, I took him down a notch with my skills...

HAHAH, just kidding!

I always looked UP to Chuck from my lowly skill-level!! He's the man!

God's Best!!
