Hi everyone! I'm mike and my monicker is "mistermike" although I am learning that there are some dubious other forms of my name around the web that aren't exactly associated with Christianity. For example, don't look for me as "mistermike" on myspace or you'll possibly get quite a shock. Instead, I'm "therealmistermike" over there. You'll also find my music on SoundClick, SongRamp, and several other places on the web, but there you'll find me as "mistermike." Just so you know, I wade in the muck to sow seeds of Grace. I make no apologies for it.
Jesus is Lord and that's all there is to that. My testimony and story are posted on my music website listed in the signature below. You're all more than welcome to check it out. The muse the Lord has given me isn't for everyone: people either love it or hate it, it seems.
At one time I was the worship leader at my church's contemporary service, but I've been on sabbatical from church politics for a little over two years now. That's all I'm going to say about that. Music-wise, right now I do an occasional tune in church and am working with our youth praise band and also teaching our youth minister to play guitar.
My other passion is photography: capturing God's glorious creations the best way I can. The link to some of that work is also in the signature at the SmugMug address. My pastor is using some of that work in his powerpoints, so if you see something you like and would like to use it to further the kingdom in worship, please let me know and I will let you know how to get the full size original. I have a "Come, Holy Spirit" slide I'm going to be posting this weekend that my pastor is going to use for Pentecost Sunday that is rather cool (or hot, pardon the pun). :)
