Let me start by saying that I am the praise team leader at our Lutheran church and this is our second year, moving from a 'traditional' to 'contemporary' style of music. I have been playing the guitar since high school (now I'm retired) and I have been involved with community churches for about five years before coming to my present church. My son got me hooked on Contemporary Christian music and I joined the praise band at a community church. That church folded :(. I learned that a local church wanted to start a contemporary praise team and I applied. I must admit that I love the music and we are building a following. We now have six singers, drums, keyboard and guitar.
