I have been writing songs for a long time and have just begun to post some of the worship songs online. My blogsite is:

http://JJANAmusic.wordpress.com.

Here is one of the songs I have done. You can hear the tune and arrangement by going to the above mentioned site and clicking on “Service Over, Serving Begun.

It is a song that talks about how, after the service is over, we then go out to serve the Lord by serving others.

I hope you enjoy it!

Here are the lyrics.

SERVICE OVER, SERVING BEGUN
Composer: Robert Kemppainen

1.
Now the service, it’s all over.
Now the blessing has been said.
Now we've all been to the altar, drank the wine and ate the bread.
(or if there is no communion substitute
“Now the off'ring has been counted and the lessons have been read.”)

Now the sermon is digesting, hymns and songs have all been sung.
Prayers are speeding off to hea ven and that big old bell's been rung.
Service is over, ended, finished, done.
But the serving has only just begun.

2.
As we face our daily grind, head off to school, or work or play,
Let us pass on to our neighbor what's been shared with us today.
Love’s the thing that we've been given.
Love's the thing we ought to give.
That is what we learn from Jesus.
That's the way we all should live.

3.
Let us take this awesome message any which way we might go, not just talk it, also walk it, so that ev'ry one will know that the love of God the Father when He gave us His own son, it's a love that is for sure and that it's meant for ev'ry one.

4.
Now the pews and aisles are empty.
From the organ, not a sound.
Candles snuffed and lights turned off because there is no one around.
It is true that we are through here but that doesn't mean we're done! for our service might be over but our serving's just begun.
