Because of some weird settings the league went ahead and drafted when everyone's status was set to "ready" when I clearly set it up to draft in a week or so.

Anyways. You can't undraft so I started a brand new league and we'll let the other fall by the wayside.

The draft will be autopick. I'm sure most of us don't have the time to do a live draft.

We've got 2 signed up (maybe 3, el ben?)...go ahead and join us you know you want to...

I've noticed it only takes about 10 minutes a week to participate. You don't have to spend hours (unless you want to) but changing lineups and rosters is really easy with yahoo. Anyways...I've played for the last few years and it's really a fun "escape" from everything else. Just a little breather during the week!

Yeah autodraft wasn't supposed to go until later, not sure what happened. Here's what I'll do...

Delete the league start from scratch and make sure there's some sort of delay on the autodraft. I think when everyone set their status to ready it went ahead and drafted for some reason.

so when does this thing really start, and how does it work? All I know is that I signed up.

We will kick off the season sunday night with an autodraft.

Basically Yahoo will draft our teams for us.

Before that happens though, you might want to "pre-rank" you prayers. This is an opportunity for you to rank the players ou WANT on your team. You can do this by signing in to Yahoo and visiting the league page anc click on your personal team page "My Team"). You'll see the link from there.

Once you get your roster you can set your starting lineups. AND you can propose trades or drop/add players to change your roster. (During the season I move players around a lot!)...

Here's the basics of the league.

It's head to head. Right now we have 6 teams that means each week we'll have 3 games. Each week you'll need to spend a few minutes making sure your starting roster reflects the "team" you want to take the fantasy field that week.

The object is to put together a roster for that week that will produce points.

Points are scored based on how INDIVIDUAL players do throughout the real life NFL games. For example, if Peyton Manning is your QB and he throws a TD you get 6 fantasy points. If Marvin Harrison is your WR, and he catches a TD you get 6 points. If your kicker kicks an extra point you get 1 point and so on. Defense is based on the defensive team you have in your starting defense slot. It's pretty simple and straight forward when you get into it.

It's cool because your QB may be on a losing team that week but might have thrown 3 TDs and passed for 250 yards. That's a good week for fantasy football!

Yahoo keeps track of all the points and stats, so you don't have to follow 20 different games to keep up, but you might find you're "interested" in more games than just the falcons as your curiosity gets the best of you!

Summary: Each week you'll pick a starting lineup.

Points are scored based on who you've got in those slots. Since it's head to head match up whoever you're matched up against will be trying to outscore you with their roster. The person with the most points between the 2 wins. that week.

I believe I might have an answer for your dilemmas!!

Remember we had to sign up to a totally new league, but I wasn't able to delete the OLD one. Is it possible you are signing in and going immediately to the wrong (OLD) league?

I locked ALL actions on the old league so that might be why you keep getting error messages AND if you had a different defense it might be that you just clicked on the wrong league?

Make sure you're in Gridiron TWC not TWC Gridiron...I know, I know, it stinks, but yahoo wouldn't let me delete the old one so I just locked it out.
