My blog is in my signature. So I won't post it twice here. I am new to blogging but am well read in it, haha.

Matt,
Looks good - the body text is kinda small for me to read (maybe 37 is really that much older?) and I tried to comment, but it didn't seem to take me to a comment box?

Thanks. This is a blog that I get for free from the company that hosts my webpage. I wil have to look at the comment thing and the font size. I did look briefly at the font size as I though ti was kinda small too, but I didn't dig very deeply.

Ahhhh!!! what can I say. I currently Serve as a Praise & Worship leader in Our Church. Also A Lead Guitarist, Play the piano, Songwriter, Crybaby occasionally, Married with 2 full grown Kids and 3 Grandchildren. Actually!!! I think the Grandkids sometimes are more mature than their parents.Ahh What else? served at The N.C.F. in A Prophetic Office for too Long. Generally a Loner, only because I dont like to share my Grandkids with anyone. hahaha
Favorite past time. Praying of course to The Tri-une God of All Creation. Otherwise known as my Dad and Best Buddy. Listening to The Neighbours wife beat her husband. ( I actually tried speaking to him about it) Bad Move. I guess its a little hard to listen when theres a cast Iron Pan bouncing off your mellon.
Anyways!!! thats a little bit.:D

How has your ministry been lately? I know for awhile you were trying to get a praise and worship service started up? Is it up and running with instruments or did you do the mediashout type thingy?
i know this is the wrong thread for this but... since youre here....lol

We started with tracks and, as of now are still using tracks, but I have gottena few guys who have commited to at least one Saturday a month, and I have some other prospects that I have not had a chance to talk to yet. Plus, someone has stepped up to oversee the other service I lead so, there will less pressure on me for that service, I can just show up and sing, or play the ole saxophone. So, I am hoping to have an actual band within the next couple weeks and then be ready to start playing for that service. Currently with the tracks I am using the service is Ok, but this service is inteded to be an Overdrive service with the kind of music that you would find at a youth rally.
Anyways, I will keep you all posted as to how it is going as I begin rehearsals with my new team.

Alan,
Looks awesome .. your writing is very intriguing ... great style. Right now, you have it setup to only allow comments if you register and login - consider removing that requirement .. most folks won't want to have to register to leave a comment ... I tried, but when I saw that I had to register and login to leave a quick comment, I walked away (but came back here for ya!)

Fred,
It would seem that the template I chose for my blog requires logging in to allow comments or posts. I'll have to research how to rectify this, but it may mean using another template. Since I'm brand new to the whole 'blog thang', it may take me a few days to figure this out. Let me know if there are some WordPress gurus out there that may be able to help me.

What a great idea!
Here's my blog, Music Ministry Tips (http://MusicMinistryTips.blogspot.com).
This blog isn't necessarily for the music ministry leader, although they are certainly not excluded. Rather it is for the rest of us in Music Ministry. Here is the main thrust:
Music Ministry Tips: Simple Tips for Worship…for Prayerful Song!
We sing in the choir. We play in the music group. We praise in the worship band. Although many of us would like to change it, most of us Sunday Musicians are not professional church musicians. We have day jobs. We try the best we can the one or two times a week with gather for practice and worship.
This blog is for us. This is a community where we share our lessons learned. I offer mine pulled from many years of experience and many churches. You share your experiences, thoughts, questions, and stories as well.
Together we’ll work a little better, sound a little better, sing a little better, and pray a bit better.
You are most welcome to share your thoughts and personal experiences (like I have) and add comments to the posts that resonate with you and your music ministry!
Peace!
Paul Schmitt
