Hey y'all, I'd appreciate if everyone would add my church to your prayer list. We've been struggling for awhile now - low attendance/participation/etc. Our church is has only been averaging 40 on sunday mornings (175 capacity) - most of the attendees are older also hence the requirement of a blended service.
Last thursday, God really laid it on our worship leader & I's hearts. He started giving us ideas to help attract & retain visitors. He started pointing out to us things that are/are not being done in our church. He really laid it on thick. The w/l & myself started praying about it & put together a list of points to present to the deacon board. Last night, we presented it to them. Much to our suprise, they are on board with it all. Without typing an entire page, lets just say that alot of modernizing is going to take place, a lot more community interaction, new ministries, more organization/planning, new ideas to keep the youth involved, etc.
Please pray for the w/l & myself as we are the "leaders" of this plan. Please also pray that the rest of the church will join us in this transformation & get as fired up as we are about this. We've jump started it, just have to keep it running.
