Greetings all. I am obviously a new "victim" here.
I have been involved in the music ministry in my church for about 12 years and was part of the sound crew in my church previous for about 2 years.
When I started with PW in the current church, it was vocals. About 7 years ago I picked up a guitar (age 35 then) and took some lessons. I now play acoustic, electric and bass as needed. I consider myself a "get the job done guitar player". Not fabulous at any of these, but if there is a need, I'll do what needs to be done. I have been involved with writing a few songs that our church has used for PW and outreach. I have been the lead worshipper part-time. Our church as been "between" official music ministers for a year or so. Our associate pastor is a gifted and talented music minister but shares the responsibilities of actually leading worship with two others (including myself) since he is also delivering the message on some Sundays between our "normal"-ish services and our new, outreach oriented service. We switch off with leading as needed and as scheduling dictates.
I have been doing my best to just fill-in, as needed where-ever God sees fit. It does seem there is a change in the air. We'll see where things go. :D
