Hello. My name is Stephen and I struggle with addiction to awesome music. I am the worship director at Grace Community Church in Fort Smith AR. We are the typical seeker sensitive church in the vain of Willow, Saddleback, or Fellowship church, but we are United Methodist in denomination. If you are wondering what that exactly means, let me know when you find out. I have been the worship director here for about 8 months and I am still learning Methodism. But, what I do know is music and how to translate God's love through it. I am 26 years old and started music my freshman year of college when I was 18. I was raised in church and hated it, so I was playing in bars and coffee shops until a pastor introduced me to a rockin campus ministry in Tallahassee FL and from there I progressed into who I am today.
I have some technical expertise which I am willing to share. Our sanctuary seats about 900 so we are right in between medium and mega church. We are a mostly production style church and our music is all modern and sometimes we use secular songs. We are progressive, we like to rock, and we will not compromise the gospel. That's about it.
