Since we meet in a somewhat smaller coffee shop, I'm sometimes a little limited as to the songs I can do, or at least in their interpretation. We have mainly guitars, hand drums, and occasionally a bass player, so we can't pull off a lot of big songs, or a lot of really upbeat gospel type stuff. We're a coffee shop band for cryin out loud!
I am, however, not afraid to take a big song and strip it down to fit the acoustic, coffee house feel.
So here is what we've been loving lately:
40 - U2
Glory - Jeff Deyo
Nothing In This World - Tim Hughes
You Are The One - Lincoln Brewster
What A Friend I’ve Found - Delirious
Your Grace Is Enough - Chris Tomlin
King Of Love - Parachute Band
From The Inside Out - Hillsongs
Well, that's all for now.
What acoustic songs do you people like? I'm always interested in learning new songs, artists, etc...
