With a friend who's a Christian Bookseller as well as a worship leader, I had the opportunity to hear an advance copy of Paul's upcoming CD, "Our God Saves."

All I can say is WOW! Paul has done it again.

Thematically, most of the songs center on the Cross of Jesus Christ, and some are very hymn-like lyrically. There's quite a bit of lyrics from old hymns sprinkled throughout new songs.

Everyone should head to Paul's site (www.leadworship.com) and check out the free release of the title song.

The last song on the CD is a studio throw-in that's just plain rocks! It's called, "Your Love Came Down." Coming in at just over 7 minutes, the last 3 minutes have Paul and the band jamming away, with Paul ad-libbing lyrically.

I think it's an August/September release.

I just listened to "Your Name" from his previous album. Paul made the charts available on his website for free downloads. My daughter and my wife both commented on how beautiful it is. I can't believe this one got by me in the past.

Can't wait until the new one comes out!

All right the CD finally made its way into the stores! I love the guitar instuctional videos on this CD. Great idea! The CD also comes with lead sheets for many of the songs. My favorite song on this CD is "You Gave Your Life Away." This is one of those songs which will get alot of play time on my ipod. Another great song on this CD is "You Gave Your Life Away" which features some guy named Matt Redman. It is the kind of song you expect when Matt and Paul collaberate on a song. Other favorites include "Only True God" featuring Kathryn Scott, "God Most High" and "Our God Saves" featuring Glenn Packiam (of Desperation Band aka New Life Church). Another great release from one of the great songwriters in the PW genre. I give it 4 of 5 :):):):)

I'll certainly be picking this one up - maybe not on iTunes if there are instructional videos on the CD - do tell more about this!?

Just emailed my contact @ Integrity for permission to include this on the next podcast (http://www.highestpraise.com/podcast) ... looking forward to promoting it!

I've gone through it a few times now. To me, it's just not as good as "A Greater Song", but then, what is? I mean, that album is darn near perfect.
That's not to say I don't like it. I most certainly do, and I'm sure we'll be using something from it soon.

I gotta disagree with you there. I got a pre-release copy back in July. I love it! We've already done several songs at our church including "Our God Saves" and "Rock of Ages." Paul's stuff is golden.

I usually have to hear a song twice before I can tell if it would be good for worship. I have to admit I've only listened to Paul's latest CD once...I guess I should blow the dust off and give it another listen. I guess my focus lately has been trying to get Lincon's latest away from my wife :)
