Kim - (Kim is a GUY, btw!)
thanks for coming by! Your bio is much too humble! So, I'll just jump in and say how I've known you for years and years, how you started the Worship Email List at praise.net (an awesome list that I highly recommend) and how you launched WorshipMusic.Com (http://www.worshipmusic.com) which has grown to be one of the (if not THE) premier places online to buy worship music, books, resources.

Weren't you also a Vineyard WL at one time?

God bless you, Kim!
Fred

Fred,

yep, I still am. Have been leading worship in a local Vineyard since about 1990. We helped plant a Vineyard church in 1990 and over the years have led worship as the community grew. Right now we are still leading worship, but the church is about 500-600 people so its bigger than a smaller/church plant type situation. We are planning to go do another church plant in Jan of 2008, so we are excited about that. I find that ploughing new ground always stirs up the creative, especially in the realm of songwriting, so I am excited about that.

Over the years, I have been blessed with getting to participate in internet/worship related stuff with a number of different groups, from Vineyard, Worship Together, Delirious and others. I am not so much about "the next cool thing" as I am about finding ways to equip the church and release people into the freedom of worshipping God without fear or doubting. I am a tech geek by profession, but a musician in the last 20 years, so using the net and worship has been a blessed convergence for me :).

Thanks a lot for your work on this forum and community web presence here Fred. It's worth it, really! People may not have the time or rememberance to thank you for it each time it helps them, but know that you are blessing the Body of Jesus and extending the Kingdom of God simply by your work here.

your friend in the Kingdom
Kim

Thanks, Kim!

Glad you stopped by --- this forum is still pretty much "brand new", but has been a blessing thus far. Appreciate all you do for the Kingdom.

Mr. Gentes it is truely a great honor to welcome you to the worship community. WorshipMusic.com is my #1 source for worship music information. I love the worship music player with new releases featured, the "Whats new" and the "coming soon" pages keeps me up to date on who has a new release and the date of the release, and the "worship leaders" page lets me find and buy some hard to find music and import artists music. Also the "worship leaders" page lets me hear clips of artists that I haven't heard before. Thank you so much for all you do on that website. Your brother and friend, Michael Gerard.
