I guess I'm kind of an oddball when it comes to "worship" music. I don't typically listen to "worship" music. Instead, I listen to music and worship...hehe. Semantics, I know, but I'm finding lately that a lot of "worship" music is a bit commercial and over-produced, so I tend to gravitate to some very indie stuff, and older stuff.

For some reason I connect with Ben Pasley & the EWC crew. There's a song by him called, "Hurricane" I think that I absolutely love.

I can't get away from Keith Green, and I guess my favorite song of his is the "Prodigal Son Suite" - even though it's probably not classified as a "worship" song.

Most songs by Delirious? I'm rocking to, as well.

And my absolute favorite of all time: Great is Thy Faithfulness (hymn).

Dude, I totally love the Lincoln Brewster version of Great is Thy Faithfulness.

I call the guitar solo he does there "pure liquid satisfaction." It's flawless and really does justice to original arrangement of the song.

Hey I'm a big Enter the Worship Circle fan myself. The new Chair and Microphone 2 is pretty good also.

I must say that I haven't enjoyed them nearly as much since Ben stopped co-writing with Don. Don write such beautiful music and he travels in some DEEEEEEP waters.

I think I just kind of have a personal connection with Ben. Not that we're best buds or anything, but I got to spend a weekend in Colorado with him a few years back at a songwriting/worship leading retreat. It was very cool.

Me + 5 others + Ben Pasley + Colorado Mountains + songwriting = loads of fun.

Either way, I'm way more into EWC 1 than any of the others after it. I like the chair and mic cds as well, because they're so raw. But that's just me.

Same thing for me with Don - he's stayed at my house a few times back when I lived in Athens (actually, the whole band, Waterdeep)...t'was a ball. That probably explains why I connect with his material so deeply, honestly.

I love the voice of Kate Hurley from the Third Circle also. Wait on the Lord oh my soul.... "yeah I'm tapping the feet!"
