Sudden Death in Church Family

If you all think of it, will you lift up our church family in your prayers? On Wednesday, one of our church leaders died suddenly of a heart attack. He was a pastor for 30 years and served in an unofficial associate pastor capacity at our church. He was also the leader of our deaf ministry and a phenomenal interpreter. He had strong ties in the community, too, especially within the deaf community.

Most of all, he was a great guy and always supportive of our music ministry. He was the father of our guitar player and the grandfather to my oldest daughter's good friend.

He will be greatly missed, even though we know He's with Jesus now. :(

Thanks, guys. The next two days will be tough; the viewing is tonight and the funeral service is tomorrow at the church. They are expecting over 200 people to be in attendance and many of them are not saved. What a source of joy that would be to the family if people were saved as a result of this! (Romans 8:28 is what keeps going through my mind.)
