Hi,
I live in on the southwest side of Cleveland Ohio (Middleburg Heights actually) with my wife and two daughters. Been involved with worship ministry for 24 years, all the way from the organ/piano "turn in your hymnal to" kind of services, to worship band led worship that we now presently have at our church (8 years). I am a full-time ordained pastor with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, and love serving with about 120 on our worship teams, choirs and orchestra. I also get to rock it out with a youth choir of about 40 kids (7-12). :D Great times!
My main leadership is worship administration and spiritual shepherding for those involved on our teams. I mainly serve in a vocal capacity, but also play a bit of drums as well when I get a chance. I love arranging, and I do a small bit of writing songs for our church.
Some of the worship musicians that I am listening to right now are Paul Baloche, Chris Tomlin, Lincoln Brewster, and someone new I just found, Stephen Hurd. My tastes though are pretty eclectic overall.
Pulling together singing, scripture, multi-media, lighting, etc. is what really is exciting for me. I love it when we see a new vision of God in our services. We are blended in our worship style, toward the contemporary (we use a full band each week). I am looking to experiment with more diversity in style and substance in the future, so I look forward to interacting here with many of you to find out where you have been meeting with God. I will be interested to see what has captured your hearts, and the hearts of the people you worship with.
My life vision comes from an old hymn by Gen. William Booth (Salvation Army) and is found in the last verse of "O Boundless Salvation". That vision is that I am "spending my days promoting His praise." Based on God's unwarranted, unconditional love and mercy for me, the only thing I want to be about is spreading the great news about Him with anyone and everyone who will listen!
Maybe more than most of you wanted to know....but that is who God has made me to be!
