Hi all! I'm worship and Christian education pastor at His Sanctuary (www.hissanctuary.org) in Singapore. It's an independent, charismatic church with about 350 members.
Our worship style is contemporary but I try to include a hymn or two once in a while. We have 4 worship leaders who take turns leading worship in our English language service (about 200 peeps). It always amazes me how different each one is. The 2 ladies tend to use more Hillsongs, the other guy worship leader is big on Integrity Music stuff and i guess I'm the eclectic one of the lot.
I'm married but we don't have any children yet. My wife is our keyboardist on the team. :D
If you want to know anything else about me, please feel free to ask.

This is an excellent question! IMHO, the only dumb questions are the ones we want to ask but are too afraid to. :-)
We have a service in Tamil and one in Chinese along with our English language service and our International service, which is targetted at non-non-Singaporeans but is conducted in English. The songs that are sung follow accordingly.

Well.. actually of the 2 non-English services that we conduct, only the Chinese service uses translated English songs. Most of them translate ok. Of course, they do use songs written in Chinese as well. For the Tamil service, it's pretty much exclusive usage of songs written in Tamil.

Some may be wondering why I put in the poll about where Singapore is. I hope no one feels like their intelligence was being insulted. In my past working experience, I had to communicate with many Americans. And I was surprised to learn that many Americans simply didn't know that much about Singapore. So this is just one way of informing the uninformed. It's interesting to see the responses. 7 responses and 2 say that Singapore is part of China. It's not the first time I've heard this response. However, I am happy to say that the 5 who responded South-east Asia got it right! Singapore isn't part of China ALTHOUGH the majority of our population are of Chinese descent. :-)

Hey -
Awesome poll .. and although my geography is HORRIBLE, I did at least know you were in SE Asia!
I think it would be awesome to "hear" some of the worship in the native tongues, there .. any chance you could ever record a snippet here and there and link to an audio?
I totally love the sound of various nations worshiping in their native tongue .. it's amazingly beautiful!
For the Kingdom,
Fred

hi Susheel, I'm from Singapore as well :)
From what I personally heard before, some people think Singapore is part of China, some ask if "we have macdonalds" - btw, we do have a MAC outlet almost every 10min drive away, etc...
Nice to find a fellow Singaporean! :)
