Hi, My Name is Dave Hamlett.
I live in Manteca, CA. I have played for a number of churches in the past as the lead guitarist, guitarist, bass player, alternate drummer, and back-player on the last worship team. I have done worship for both services and special ministries. One of my favorite ministries was in Pacifica, CA , at what was called an all church praise and worship night open to all churches.
At present I am serving as the VP and one of the praise people (none of us leaders) for BMF, Businessmen's Fellowship. Still play in the bars, doing a ministry there as well. Just trying to be where GOD can use me.

Hey Dave what a surprize!!! I hope you and Sue are doing well.
As you know I have not been playing music since my son was born. Well Matthew is five now and my stepson has gotten into music (drums, piano and guitar). He was in the high school marching band this year(freshman) and met a friend who was adopted. When his step father came to pick him up one evening he mentioned that he was a pastor. Well it turns out that he and his wife are both pastors and they came from East Bay Fellowship (four square church) and they bought the original Shepards Gate House for their adopted children five or six to be exact. We decided to check out their church that was opening on Easter this year. It was a week before Easter and we did not hear anything from Chris(stepson) so we decided to go by their home after service at Cornerstone. When got there and introduced ourselves somehow music came up and Nancy says Alex play guitar and Pastor Rory and Pastor Pam says that they have been praying for a worship leader. My mind went uh oh I think God is at work here. when asked if I would help out I said yes. To make a long story shorter I have been leading Worsip since Easter. I asked God to give me a little more notice next time because I had one week to re-condition my fingers it was pretty funny.
anyway the Church is in Livermore at the veterans building. I've got to go God Bless!!
p.s. Daniel Talioga was looking for Charlie do you know where he is?
Your brother in Christ,
Alex

Hi Dave,
Quick questions - what's a "back-player"? bass, or is it more like percussion on someone's back perhaps :)?
What's Manteca like?
